Philosophy of the Programme

The programme is founded on the values of producing innovative and responsible educational managers, leaders, researchers and trainers responsive to societal needs of training for sustainable development. It is intended to provide graduate students with quality professional, innovative technical skills required by the society in the modernization of education sector and industries. In line with these attitudes, the programme will be reviewed after every 5 years to align its content and requirements with emerging issues, client requirements’, the University policies, national Government policies, Commission for University Education (CUE) requirements and international doctoral education requirements.

The goal of the program is to enhance the managerial skills required by professionals

in running the educational sector locally, regionally and globally.

Overall expected Learning Outcomes

By the end of this programme learners should be able to:

  1. Create knowledge and skills to solve education related challenges in the industry
  2. Assess the latest management concepts, techniques and practices for efficiency and improvement in the education sector.
  3. Generate knowledge and skills in data collection and data management to make informed decision based on research findings.
  4. Practice innovativeness in education consultancy, management, policy making and research.

Educational planning

By the end of this programme the learner should be able to:

  1. Evaluate educational plans, policies and strategies aimed at promoting quality and equity in educational sector.
  2. Successfully carry out monitoring and evaluation within a given scope.

Economics of education

By the end of this programme learners should be able to:

  1. Assess measuring mechanisms employed in education and productivity to generate adequate advices to informing education reforms.
  2. Justify policy advices to accelerate jobs recovery pursuant to vision 2030.

Curriculum designs and development

By the end of this programme a learner should be able to:

  1. Employ the principles of teaching and learning to planning for instruction in the college classroom.
  2. Investigate the different perspectives of educational issues in relation to their own practice or teaching specialty.

Educational psychology

By the end of this programme a learner should be able to:

  1. Compose seminars and career policies to enhance placement in learning institutions,
  2. Advice players in education sector on managing personality dynamics and learning.

Educational management and leadership

By the end of this programme a learner should be able to:

  1. Generate data through research for effective monitoring and productivity of employees within the education sector.
  2. Evaluate individual leadership styles and strategies for personal transformation.
